Mr. Joseph Aiello, 90, of Schuyler, NY, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford. Joseph honorable served in The US Navy during WW II. On February 5, 1949, Joseph was united in marriage to Marguerite (Peggy) M. Woodward at Blessed Sacrament Church in Utica, a loving and devoted union of 55 years, until Peggy’s death in 2004. Joseph began his working career with Gold Metal Meat Packing Company in Utica and after the company’s closure, he went to work with Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company, retiring after 30 years of dedicated service. He was also an avid bowler and participated in bowling leagues at Pin-O-Rama. Joe and Peggy enjoyed traveling to Melbourne, FL, especially in the winter months. In his later years, lasting well into his 80’s, Joe became a golf enthusiast and found great joy playing a round with friends and family. He was so happy to have met his friend and golf Companion, Sandy Peppenelli. Joe was extremely proud of his Italian Heritage. Sunday dinner with his family was a special time for Joe and always included sauce and wine.
