Obituary of Patrick D. Jordan

Patrick D. Jordan, 78, of Whitesboro, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Pat was born in Utica on March 4, 1939, a son of William and Emily (McCabe) Jordan. He was a 1956 graduate of Whitesboro High School. On October 13, 1962, Pat was united in marriage to Diane Gabrukiewicz at Holy Trinity Church in Utica. For many years, Pat was employed with Armour and Company and later with Mohawk Meats until his retirement in 2007. After his retirement, he worked part time at Auto Parts International. He was a member of St. Paul’s Church, Whitesboro, the Whitestown Vets, VFW Post 6001, Yorkville, and a 35 year committee member of the Fred Bragg Golf Tournament. In his younger years Pat coached Little League and basketball. Pat was a devout Catholic. He will always be remembered for being a kind person and for his great sense of humor. Pat is survived by his wife, Diane, his three children, William Jordan and Tammie Gillmett, of Utica, Deborah Jordan-Roberts, of Advance, NC and Thomas Jordan and fiancée, Sonia Quesada, of North Palm Beach, FL, four grandchildren, Katie Roberts, Tyler Roberts, Patrick Jordan and Thomas Jordan, two sisters, Elizabeth Jordan, of NC and Sharon Carmichael and husband, William, of CT, a brother, Willard Jordan and Ron Sierpien, of FL, a brother-in-law, Dennis Gabrukiewicz, Utica, special friends, Pete Manna, Charlie Thompson, Ron Schoen, Mario Spina, and Tony Torchia and many nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Jordan Mr. Jordan’s funeral will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00 at St. Paul’s Church, Whitesboro. The family will great guests at the conclusion of the Mass. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Those so wishing may make donations to St. Paul’s Church or your favorite charity. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Thomas John, Dr. Thomas Mathew and nurse practitioner, Michele Chambrone for all the loving care given to Pat.
