Mrs. Jennie Zyskowski, 89 a resident of the St. Luke's Home, New Hartford, formerly of York St., Utica passed away on Wednesday July 2, 2008 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford. Jennie was born in Utica on September 4, 1918 the daughter of John and Anna (Lamont) Kluska and received her education in local schools. She was married to Leo Zyskowski until his death in 1998. Jennie was a member of the West Utica Seniors, the Perpetual Adoration Society at St. Joseph St. Patrick Church and was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church in Utica. She enjoyed spending her free time doing odds and ends around her home. Mrs. Zyskowski is survived by two nieces, Sandra Nowicki and Amos Odit of New Hartford and Barbara and James Murray of Albany; great nieces and nephews, Andrew, Peggy, Patty and Jimmy; a cousin, Adele Jaworoski of New Hartford and a dear friend, Dorothy Slabicki of Utica. She was predeceased by three sisters, Jessie Wicks, Bertha Kluska and Gladys Kluska and a brother, Chester Kluska. Mrs. Zyskowski's funeral will be held on Monday July 7, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church where her mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Yorkville. There are no calling hours. Those so wishing may consider a donation to the American Cancer Society in Jennie's memory.
