George P. Moore, 69, of Schuyler, passed away Friday, July 4, 2008 at his home. George was born in Utica on March 2, 1939, the son of John, Sr. and Alyce (Cormie) Moore. He was raised and educated locally. George went on to serve his country with the US Army during the Korean War. He was a carpenter, owning and operating his own business. George was of the catholic faith. George is survived by five daughters, Elizabeth, Carrie, Colleen, Brenda, and Theresa and their children; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carol Mazza, Schuyler, Sharon and Gordon Henderson, Utica; three brothers and sisters-in-law, John, Jr. and Diane Moore, New Hartford, Pete and Rita Moore, Clinton, and Richard and Gail Moore, Schuyler. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Moore's funeral service will be held Monday, July 7, 2008 at 7:00 pm at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Road, Utica. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery will take place privately at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 4 ? 7 pm, prior to the funeral service.
