Dr. Frederick C. Bach, 83 of N. Utica, formerly of Ft. Worth, TX passed away on Thursday September 27, 2007. Frederick was born in Watertown, NY on December 10, 1923 the son of John and Margaret (Kunkel) Bach. He was raised in Watertown and was a graduate of Watertown High School and Utica College. He later earned his Ph.D. in Micro Biology from Syracuse University. Frederick honorably served in the US Army during WW II. For many years until his retirement he was employed as a micro biologist with Alcon Labs in Ft. Worth, TX. After retirement he was employed as a real estate agent with Helen Painter & Co. Realtors in Ft. Worth. Frederick was a longtime Rotarian in Ft. Worth and was of the Lutheran faith. Dr. Bach is survived by one sister, Margaret E. Eggleston, Syracuse; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Wilhelmina Bach, N. Utica; four nephews, John J. Bach, Jr., Yorkville, Don Eggleston and his wife Mary, N. Syracuse, Lynn Eggleston and his wife Jackie, King George, VA and Gerald Lewek, Deerfield and many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, and sister-in-law, John Sr., and Mary Bach and a niece, Valerie Lewek. Dr. Bach's funeral will be held on Saturday September 29, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Interment will be in New Forest Cemetery, Utica. Calling hours for family and friends are Saturday 12:00-1:00 prior to the service. Those so wishing may consider a donation to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. in Frederick's memory. Dr. Bach's family is grateful to Dr. Anthony Viglietta at the Veterans Clinic in Rome and Navaz Dhadhar from Hospice Care for the loving kindness and care given to Frederick. A special mention of Frederick's dear lifelong friends Joyce and Oscar Valdez and Frances and Robert Cartwright.
