Mrs. Emma "Gam" E. Goodwin, 69 of Frankfort passed away unexpectedly on Monday August 20, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center after a very brief illness. She will be sadly missed by her loving family. Emma was born in Hamilton, NY on September 9, 1937 the daughter of Carl and Viola (Wratton) Bailey and received her education in Hamilton schools. For 20 years, Emma was employed with the Charles T. Sitrin Nursing Home retiring in 2002. She was currently employed as a home health aide with Independence Care in Rome. Emma was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother whose true joy in life came from the time spent with her family. She had a love of animals and was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Marcy. Mrs. Goodwin is survived by her daughter, Deborah Ritter, Munnsville, NY; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael (Mickey) and Millie Ritter, Schuyler, NY; her mother, Viola Bailey, Frankfort; three cherished grand daughters, Heather, Andrea and Jewelia Ritter all of Schuyler; one sister, Rebecca Smith, Oriskany Falls, NY and a brother and sister-in-law, Carl (Sonny) and Donna Bailey, Jr., Hubbardsville, NY. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, her two dogs, Missie and Boots and her cat, Whiska. She was predeceased by his father Carl. Mrs. Goodwin's funeral will be held on Friday August 24, 2007 at 10:15 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica and 11:00 at First Assembly of God Church, Maynard Dr., Marcy. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Graham Cemetery in Hubbardsville, NY.
