Eleanor S. Cyr, 80, of North Utica passed away Sunday September 23, 2007 in St, Luke's Hospital. Eleanor was born in Utica on May 10, 1927 a daughter of Joseph and Helen (Barylecki) Stomierowski. On August 24, 1946 Eleanor married Robert F. Cyr. A blessed union of 61 years. For 20 years Eleanor was employed with Gulf Oil Corp. in Marcy and later seasonally with the New York State Thruway Authority. She was a parishioner of St. Peter's Church, North Utica and enjoyed playing bridge and golfing. Eleanor and Robert enjoyed spending their winters in Seminole, FL. Eleanor is survived by her husband, Robert, two sons and daughters-in-law; Ronald and Marilyn Cyr, Marcy, Kevin Cyr, Maui, HI and Debra Cyr, OR, six grandchildren; Ron Cyr and wife Lisa, Martin Cyr and fiancée', Athena Buffardi, Samuel Cyr, Seth Cyr, Kristina Cyr, Jessica Kanealii and husband Jordan, two great grandchildren; Danielle and Kau'ilani and many dear bridge partners, golfing friends, close friends in the Utica area and Lake Seminole Estates, FL. Eleanor was predeceased by her son, Bryan Cyr in 1986 and two brothers; Leonard and Edward Stomierowski. Mrs. Cyr's funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at 11:00 at St. Peter's Church, North Utica. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Whitestown. There are no calling hours.
