Donald F. Golden Marcy, NY Mr. Donald F. Golden, 82 a resident of the St. Luke's Home, New Hartford, formerly of Marcy passed away on Tuesday June 26, 2007 at the nursing home. Donald was born in Holland Patent, NY of April 7, 1925 the son of Henry Lewis and Ada (Lawrence) Golden and received his education in local schools. He honorably served in the US Army during WW II. At one time, Donald was married to Marie Dougherty until her death. For many years he was employed with St. Johnsbury Trucking Company until his retirement. He was a member of Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Warehousemen and Helpers Union Local 182, the American Legion post in Clark Mills where his was a member of the marching drill team and was of the protestant faith. Mr. Golden is survived by his dear companion, Stella Smith and her family, Whitesboro, NY; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Paul Mecca, West Seneca, NY and Donna and Donald Faltisco, Buffalo, NY; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Patrick and Linda Golden, AZ, John Golden and his dear friend Gina, Depew, NY and Leonard Golden and his dear friend Carol, Cheektowaga, NY; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Joan and Dwayne Rotach, Barneveld and Nancy Stevener, Syracuse; three sisters-in-law, Patricia Golden, Mary Lou Golden and Beatrice Golden and many cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by six brothers, Charles, Glenn, Bob, Hank, Melvin and Bill Golden. A prayer will be offered for Mr. Golden on Saturday June 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Interment will following in Boonville Cemetery with military honors. Calling hours at the funeral home are Saturday 10-11 prior to the prayer.
