Diane M. Surprenant, 60, of North Utica passed away on Monday March 31, 2008 in St. Luke's Hospital. Diane was born in Utica on August 4, 1947 and was a graduate of Clinton High School and the Utica School of Commerce. At St. Joseph's & St. Patrick's Church, Utica on May 13, 1972 Diane was united in marriage to Robert J. Surprenant, Sr. For several years she was employed at the Presbyterian Home for CNY. She was a member of St. Mark's Church, North Utica. Diane was an avid bingo player and NY Yankees fan. Some of her most memorable times were spent with her three bingo partners Barbara, Denyse and Jeanie and playing cards with her partner, Elsie. Diane is survived by her husband, Robert, a daughter; Yvonne M. Surprenant and fiancée David Sloan, Utica, two sons; Robert J. Surprenant, Jr., N.Utica and Jeffrey S. Surprenant and fiancée Susanne Rodriguez, N. Utica, two brothers; Timothy Wilcox, Sr., New York Mills and Gary Wilcox, Sr., Utica, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Joseph and Barbara Koscinski, Kirkland, two uncles; Richard and William, an aunt; Leona and many life long friends. Diane is also survived by her feline companion; Caesar. Mrs. Surprenant's funeral will be held on Thursday April 3, 2008 at 9:15 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., North Utica and at 10:00 from St. Mark's Church, North Utica. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday from 4-8. Those so wishing may make donations to the Kidney Foundation in Diane's memory. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Emile Wassel and staff and the nurses of the ICU of St. Luke's for all the loving care given to Diane.
