Mrs. Grace E. Cosgrove, 95 formerly of Utica died Tuesday April 3, 2007 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush, NY. She had resided with her son and his wife in Nassau, NY since October 1998. Prior to that she was a long time resident of Utica. Grace was born September 14, 1911 in Utica, daughter of the late Thomas and Grace (Letson) Rowlands. She attended schools in Utica and was employed at the F.W. Woolworths Store for many years. She was a member of Plymouth Bethesda United Church of Christ in Utica and the church's Woman's Fellowship. Grace belonged to the South Utica Senior Citizens and loved to dance. Her husband Frederick Cosgrove died in September, 1986 and longtime companion Joseph DiCaprio died July, 2000. Grace is survived by a son, William F. Cosgrove and his wife Judy of Nassau; three grandchild, Kimberly and husband Alexander Easterling of Averill Park, NY, Christopher and wife Tammy Cosgrove of East Greenbush, NY and Kathleen and husband Gregory Zorian of Schenectady, NY; six great grandchildren that she loved so much, Kiersten and Keenan Cosgrove, Katelyn and Ashley Easterling and Annabel and Samantha Zorian; She is also survived by a brother, Thomas Rowlands and his wife Aletha of Utica as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cosgrove's funeral will be held on Saturday April 7, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro.
