Charlene Laribee White, 57, of Utica, wife of Michael J. White, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at St. Luke's Healthcare Center after a long illness. Charlene was born in Utica on October 17, 1950, the daughter of Frederick and Josephine (DeSalvo) Laribee. She was raised and educated locally, graduating from Utica Free Academy and then went on to become a licensed nurse. She was employed at St. Luke's Healthcare Center, retiring in 2003 due to her illness. On July 1, 1978, Charlene married Michael J. White in St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. She was a member of St. Peter's Church. Charlene is survived by her husband, Michael of Utica; one daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Joseph Williams, Cassville; two sons, Brian White and his fiancée, Jennifer Nistved, Utica, Matthew White, Utica; one granddaughter, Ava Lee Williams; her mother, Josephine Laribee, Utica; one sister, Geraldine Laribee, Whitesboro; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Teri Laribee, Sylvan Beach, Fred and Sherri Laribee, Clark Mills; her mother-in-law, Eleanor White, Utica; three sisters-in-law, Kathleen and Joseph Edic, Marcy, Mary White, California, Christine and Jack Tine, Maryland; two aunts and an uncle, Mary Giaser, Kay and Mick Mickus, as well as by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her father, Frederick Laribee in 1977 and her father-in-law, Michael F. White in 1979. Mrs. White's funeral will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 9:30 am at St. Peter's Church, North Utica where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, Utica. Relatives and friends may call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Road, North Utica on Friday (Tonight) from 4 ? 7 pm.
