First I never new this page existed , it popped up on a google page. I am Connie's youngest daughter Bobbie, I did not have allot of time with my Dad , as we moved from N.Y. when I was 11. I did though have the opportunity to get to know him better just prior to his passing, we talked about quite a bit. He had just returned from Ireland on a group tour, and was so excited to tell me about his adventure there. I was happy that he got to go. It is a blessing that we had that time. I think that people show up when they need to and not when we want them to, regardless of all the beliefs about how family "should" be. I shared with my Dad that our family is scattered across the U.S., and rarely get to visit due to the cost of airfare, yet there is and has always been between my two brothers and my sister and my Mom a deep knowing beyond distance and time that no matter if we have not spoken in months , or years , that we love one another without waver and in times of necessity have proven to come together. When my Brother Lost his Wife and Daughter within 30 days of one another, My entire family for the first time since I was a baby came together in the same room from around the states , because it was necessary , not expected, And too me that is what family is an inner respect and honor a silent understanding and listening of the heart, and I share this because My Mom and Dad both deserve the joy that parents experience when they know they brought 4 wonderful human beings into this world and that they are good people, this is the best gift I could give to both my parents. And by the Grace of God My Dad left this world with his Heart in silent repose knowing this, I do not doubt it. May everyone that Connie knew continue to receive the blessing his presence in thier lives brought. Peace, Roberta Ann Bryne Simonsen
