Spc. Bryan David Brosemer Marcy-Ft. Hood, TX Spc. Bryan David Brosemer, 26, serving with the US Army, Ft. Hood TX, died July 10, 2007 due to a swimming accident. Bryan was born in Utica on May 13, 1981, the beloved son of David B. and Mary Jane (Grimmer) Brosemer. He was raised in Marcy and educated in Whitesboro, graduating from Whitesboro High School class of 1999. He later attended Oswego State College and MVCC. At one time, Bryan was employed with Babe's Restaurant, APAC of Utica and Human Technology Services in Utica. In April 2004 Bryan enlisted in the US Army currently serving with E-Company 3-4 Aviation Unit, 4th infantry division. He honorably served 1 tour of duty in Iraq in 2006. He was a member of American Legion Post 1663, Old Forge and was a parishioner of St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. Bryan enjoyed camping, fishing, skiing, cooking and was a NASCAR enthusiast, a trait he inherited from his father. Bryan's most enjoyable times were those spent with his family and friends. Bryan is survived by his beloved parents, David and Mary Jane Brosemer, Marcy; two sisters, BethAnn Brosemer, NY Mills, and Jamilyn Brosemer, Marcy; one brother, Jason M. Brosemer, Marcy; aunts and uncles, Wayne and Barbara Brosemer, Utica, Jeffrey and Sharon Brosemer, Holmdel, NJ, Todd and Lorraine Brosemer, Old Forge, Lori and Dale Lawrence, Herkimer, Jon and Debbie Brosemer, Old Forge, Kyle and Sandra Grimmer, Croghan, NY, and Mark Grimmer, Galveston, FL; a great-aunt, Katherine Grimmer, Croghan, NY; a special adopted grandma, Mary Greene, Old Forge; and several cousins, friends; and his canine companion, K.C. He was predeceased by his grandparents, George and Betty Brosemer, Marcy and Bernard and Ruth Grimmer, Croghan, NY. Bryan's funeral will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, N. Utica were his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment with full Military Honors will be in Riverside Cemetery, Old Forge, NY. Calling hours for family and friends are Wednesday 3:00-7:00 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund is being established at Whitesboro High School in Bryan's name or you may consider a charity of your choice. Bryan, you served your country and we are truly proud but also the way you were there with your helping hand. Your family enjoyed you home that short week. Never to forget the tears in your eyes when we said goodbye. You will be missed by your loving family and your military friends. Bryan, you're in our hearts forever.
