Audrey M. Wagner, 83, of New Hartford, formerly of Utica, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center after being stricken ill at home. Audrey was born in Utica on October 22, 1924, the daughter of George and Loretta (Middel) McNeil. She was raised and educated locally. On April10, 1948, Audrey married John A. Wagner in Utica. Mr. Wagner passed away in 1988. For many years, Audrey had worked as a Sales Associate for Bartnick Real Estate in Utica and was named "Sales Associate of the Year" by the Greater Utica Board of Realtors. She later became a daily member of the New Hartford Seniors. Audrey enjoyed and was very good at bowling. She was a former member of Our Lady of Lourdes and of St. Anne's Church. Audrey is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ken (Kip) and Rosemary Wagner, Whitesboro; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kathy and Gary Martin, Whitesboro, Pam Wagner and Debbie Bythewood, Utica; five grandchildren, Todd and Elaine Martin, Mandy and Ray Bara, Tom and Christine Wagner, Mike Wagner, Mark Wagner; four great grandchildren to whom she was known as "Big Gramma", Zachary Bara, Lexie Bara, Haley Wagner, and Hunter Rose Wagner; two sisters, Shirley Gaspa, Utica, Janet Laramie, New York Mills; one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Eleanor McNeil, Utica; two sisters-in-law, Diane McNeil, Whitesboro, Mary Lou DeBlois, Utica; one brother-in-law, Richard Wagner, New Hartford; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother, Raymond McNeil. Mrs. Wagner's funeral will be held on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, New Hartford, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Yorkville. Relatives and friends may call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica on Sunday afternoon, from 3 ? 5 pm.
