Arliss J. Sanger, 84 of Clinton passed away Tuesday February 13, 2007 in St. Luke's Hospital. Arliss was born in Utica on November 20, 1922 a son of Fred A. and Agnes (Goodhines) Sanger. He received his education locally and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. Arliss served in the Army during World War II. At St. Leo's Church in Holland Patent on August 17, 1946 Arliss married Adeline Williams. For many years until his retirement in 1984 he was employed with Utica Drop Forge. He was a member of Our Lady of The Rosary Church, New Hartford and enjoyed getting together with the Kelsey Hayes Old Timers group, hunting, fishing and playing in the shuffle board league at Sacred Heart Church. Arliss is survived by his wife, Adeline, three sons and a daughter-in-law, Frederick A. Sanger, Syracuse, Lawrence R. Sanger, Clinton, Kevin J. and Sandra Sanger, Whitesboro, 3 grandchildren, Dawn M. Maher, Eric R. Sanger and his wife Kellie and Beth Sanger, four great grandsons, Cory M. Maher, Ryan T. Maher, Jacob S. Sanger, and Zachary S. Sanger and many nieces and nephews. Arliss was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Katherine Sanger. Mr. Sanger's funeral will be held on Thursday February 15, 2007 at at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, New Hartford. Entombment will be in the St. Joseph's Cemetery Mausoleum. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers.
