William F. Thomas Utica Mr. William F. Thomas, 60 of Utica passed away unexpectedly on Monday December 11, 2006 at his home. William was born in Utica on February 18, 1946 the son of Elmer and Betty Sue (Pelphrey) Thomas. He was raised locally and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. For over 35 years, he was employed with Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company until its closure. Most recently he was employed with the Utica City School District. He was of the Presbyterian faith. Mr. Thomas is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Sue and Michael Darling, Buffalo, NY and Tammy and Robert Mitchell, Charleston, WV; five beloved grandchildren, Heather Mitchell, Haley Mitchell, Robert Mitchell, Alexandra Darling and Justin Darling; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert R. and Marilyn Thomas, FL; one step sister, Jacqueline Chomka and her husband, Walter, FL; one step-brother, Ronald Thomas and his wife Phyllis, FL and several nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Elmer and Betty Sue and a sister, Fern Thomas. Mr. Thomas's funeral will be held on Friday evening December 15, 2006 at 8:30 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery will be held at the convenience of his family. Calling hours for family and friends are Friday 6-8:30 prior to the service.
