Thomas J. Maggi, Jr. Utica Thomas J. Maggi, Jr., 78, of Utica, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2006. Thomas was born on June 16, 1928 in Utica, the son of Thomas and Victoria (Marcucci) Maggi. He was raised and educated locally. In 1946, Tom joined the US Coast Guard, serving his country during World War II. On September 2, 1950, Tom married Patricia Aldine in Utica. He worked for Griffiss Air Force Base for over 40 years. Tom enjoyed spending his time at Hinckley Lake and at his camp in Maine. He was a member of St. Peter's Church, North Utica. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia, Utica; his son, Thomas III, Utica; and his grandson, Ryan Thomas Maggi, Utica. Also surviving are two sisters, Elizabeth Cappelli, New Hartford, Josephine Demma, North Bay; his brother, Albert Maggi, Rome, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Maggi is predeceased by two sisters, Mary Franzman and Ann McGowen. Mr. Thomas Maggi's funeral service will be held Thursday evening, June 22, 2006 at 7:00 pm at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Road, North Utica, with the Rev. Anthony LaFache presiding. Interment will take place on Friday, June 23, 2006 at 10:00 am in Calvary Cemetery, New Hartford. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5 ? 7 pm prior to the funeral service.
