Dennis E. Reilly Utica Mr. Dennis E. Reilly, 61 of Utica passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday December 19, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Dennis was born in Syracuse on September 11, 1945 the son of Helen C. Reilly. He was raised in Utica, was a graduate of Proctor High School, Utica College and earned his MBA from RPI. Dennis honorably served in the US Air force. On August 2, 1969 Dennis married Adele A. Lombardi in St. Anthony's Church, Utica a loving and devoted union of 37 years. For many years, Dennis was employed as a probation officer with Oneida County. He was a member of American Legion Post 229, N. Utica, Knights of Columbus Council 189, Utica and was a parishioner and usher at St. Mark's Church, N. Utica. Dennis was an avid golfer and thoroughbred horse racing enthusiast. The true focus of his life was his family and he was devoted to providing for the needs of his children. Mr. Reilly will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Adele; one daughter and son-in-law, Michele (Shelly) and Jeffrey LaGase, Utica; one son, Daniel Patrick Reilly, Utica; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Joanne Adorino, Utica, Dr Cynthia and Jim Cahill, Delmar, NY and Mary Rose and Darryl Green, SC; two brothers and one sister-in-law, James Reilly, Utica and Mark and Judy Giruzzi, Marcy; his mother-in-law, Christine Lombardi, Utica; three step brothers, Frank Giruzzi and his wife Betty, Utica, Joseph Giruzzi and his wife Mary, Lowville and James Giruzzi and his wife Denise, Frankfort and a brother-in-law, Ron Lombardi, Utica; Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and dear friends, especially Frank Mastrovito, New Hartford, Frank Leone, Syracuse, the guys at the gym, the guys at probation and his golfing buddies. He was predeceased by his mother, Helen, a sister-in-law, Angela De Giglio and special cousin, Michael Carraway. Mr. Reilly's funeral will be held on Friday December 22, 2006 at 10:15 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica and 11:00 at St. Mark's Church where his mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Utica. Calling hours for family and friends are Thursday 4-7 p.m.
