Ruth J. Wolber, 86, of the Presbyterian Home passed away Thursday December 14, 2006 at the home. Ruth was born in Utica on April 3, 1920 a daughter of Donald and Elizabeth (Bauer) Rood. For many years Ruth was employed with F.W. Woolworths in Utica. She was a former member of St. Peter's Church, North Utica. Ruth is survived by as daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Richard Lawler, Utica, a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Cheryl Wolber, Utica, three grandchildren, Robert Griffith, Craig Griffith and Rebecca Wolber. and five great grandchildren, Blythe, Meredith, Matthew, Craig John and Lyssa Marie. Ruth was predeceased by a sister, Marion Keyes. A private funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Those so wishing may make donations to the Presbyterian Home in Ruth's memory. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staffs of the Aspen and Birch Wings of the Presbyterian Home especially Candy, Jan, Leslie Debbie and Amy for all the loving care given to Ruth.
