Mrs. Marie Therese Crane MacIntosh, 44 of Yorkville passed away on Tuesday July 11, 2006 at her home with her loving family by her side. Marie was born in New Hartford on August 23, 1961 the daughter of William K. and Kathleen (Gallegher) Crane. She was a graduate of Whitesboro High school and received her LPN degree from BOCES. On June 29, 1997 Marie married Donald MacIntosh in Marcy, NY. For many years she was proudly employed as a LPN with the Allen Calder Wing at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital. Marie was a member and past board member of the Whitestown Vets Ladies Auxiliary, Yorkville and a parishioner of Our Lady of The Rosary Church, New Hartford. She enjoyed crocheting and received her greatest joy from being with her grandchildren who were the true light of her life. Mrs. MacIntosh is survived by her husband, Donald; one daughter and son-in-law, Eileen Moen and her husband Kip, Norfolk, VA; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Sgt. Cory O'Connor, US Army, stationed in Afghanistan and his wife Amber and Shawn O'Connor, Whitesboro; her father, William K. Crane, Marcy; three cherished grandchildren, Kathleen Moen, Theresa Moen and Logan O'Connor; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Michele Kipers and her husband Robert, Marcy, Elizabeth McGuire and her husband Michael, Ft. Worth, TX, Dr. Kathleen Lee and her husband Dr. Joseph, Potomac, MD and Susan Gray, Marcy; one brother and sister-in-law, William K. Crane II and his wife Christine, Middletown, CT; four sisters-in-law, Susan Glinski and her husband Donald, Utica, Christine Stewart, Virginia Beach, VA, Diane Armstrong, Ilion and Julie Dillenbeck, Sauquoit and many nieces, nephews and her feline companion, Louie. She was predeceased by her mother, Kathleen Crane in 2001. Mrs. MacIntosh's funeral will be held on Friday July 14, 2006 at 9:15 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and 10:00 at Our lady of The Rosary Church where her mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours for family and friends are Thursday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. or The American Red Cross, Utica Chapter in Marie's memory. Mrs. MacIntosh's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the ICU and 3rd floor at Bassett Healthcare, Dr. Robert Johnson and the staff of Hospice Care for the excellent care and compassion given to Marie.
