Harold W. Jones, 87, passed away on Tuesday June 6, 2006 at the Little Falls Hospital. Harold was born in East Winfield on March 16, 1919 the son of William and Mildred (Hedderich) Jones and received his education in the Whitesboro School system. On October 22, 1955 Harold married Edith Davis. She passed away on April 26, 1988. On August 12, 1989 he married Rosetta (Rosie) Ballard. As a young man Harold started farming with his father and later continued on with his brother retiring in 1995. He enjoyed traveling with Rosie and was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Harold was a member of the West Schuyler United Methodist Church. A devoted and caring husband Harold is survived by his loving wife Rosie, 2 aunts, Sally Cadwell, New Berlin and Margaret Close, Whitesboro, a brother-in-law, C. Wesley Gillingham, CT, nephews, Robert Gillingham, TN, Wayne Gillingham, CT, Wesley Gillingham, Livingston Manor, NY, David Jones, Verona, a special niece, Lauren Gillingham, CT. brothers-in-law, Elisher J. Ballard and family, George Ballard and companion Pat Rubin and George Ballard Jr., and Clyde and Minnie Hungerford and families, dear and devoted friends, Pauline and Donald Haman and families especially Ashley Haman who was a pride and joy in Harold's life since she was a little girl and also Rose, Debbie and Joey Juliano and girls and many great nieces, nephews, cousins and sisters-in-law. Harold was predeceased by a sister, Beatrice Gillingham Jones, a brother, Howard Jones and a brother-in-law, William Davis. Mr. Jones' funeral service will be held on Thursday June 8, 2006 at 1:30 P.M. from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., North Utica. Burial will be in the West Schuyler Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday morning from 11:30 ? 1:30. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation the Herkimer Humane Society or West Schuyler United Methodist Church in Harold's memory. The family would like to extend a heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Kramer, Dr. Dwyer and Dr. Freund for their kindness and compassion during a difficult time and the ER staff especially Cathy Ellthorpe, and staff of the 3rd floor of Little Falls Hospital.
