Ralph A. Heidelberger, 86, of Parkway Dr., Whitesboro, passed away April 19, 2006, at St. Luke's Healthcare Center after a long illness. Ralph was born in Utica, NY, December 17, 1919, the son of Norbert and Anne Heidelberger. He was raised and educated in Utica, NY. Ralph was a WWII Army Air Force veteran. On Dec. 29, 1956, at St. Joseph's Church, Utica, Ralph was married to RoseMary Walker. Mrs. Heidelberger passed away in 1993. For a number of years, Ralph worked as a printer for the New Hartford Printing Company and was also the owner and operator of the Heidelberger Print Shop of Utica. Ralph was a member of Sacred Heart Church of Utica, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus, Utica. Ralph was survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Christine A. Heidelberger of Whitesboro, Deborah and Terry Reich of Utica, and Cheryl L. Heidelberger of Milford, PA; one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Christy Heidelberger of Poland, NY. He leaves five grandchildren, Kari Heidelberger, Michael, Kimberly and Kaitlin Reich, and Darren Heidelberger. He also leaves three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Doris Bastian, Ida Mastroianni, and Leroy and Judy Walker. Besides his wife and parents, Ralph was predeceased by one sister and one brother, Mildred Heidelberger and Norbert Heidelberger. Mr. Heidelberger's funeral will be held Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 9:30 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Utica, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. His burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Whitestown. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Friday evening from 4 to 7. Donations in Ralph's memory would be appreciated, to Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Core. Envelopes will be available.
