Mr. J. Francis Fehr 99 a resident of the Harding Nursing Home, Waterville, formerly of Tibbitts Rd., New Hartford passed away on Monday July 31, 2006 at the nursing home. Francis was born in New Hartford on October 21, 1906 the son of John and Odella (Deck) Fehr. He was raised and educated in New Hartford and was the salutatorian of the 1922 Hartford High School graduating class. On December 27, 1935 Francis married Cornelia K. Kelly in St. John the Evangelist Church, New Hartford a union of 43 years until Cornelia's death in 1978. He was a self employed dairy farmer and a committee man for the Grange League Federation. Francis was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church, New Hartford. Mr. Fehr is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Marguerite Fehr, VA, Sheila Hennessy, Lake Katrine, NY and Rose Fehr and her husband Thomas Snook, New Mexico; one son and daughter-in-law, John F. and Patricia Fehr, Chadwicks; one sister, Mary Altschaeffl, Syracuse; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Eleanor Fehr and Lucille Keyhoe and two brothers, George Fehr and Charles Fehr. Mr. Fehr's funeral will be held on Friday August 4, 2006 at 9:15 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 10 E. Park Row Clinton and 10:00 at St. John the Evangelist Church where his mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Yorkville.
