Edward J. Kutzuba Obituary
Edward J. Kutzuba Utica Edward J. Kutzuba, 81, of Utica, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at his home. Edward was born in Utica on March 14, 1925, the son of Peter and Mary (Nosal) Kutzuba. He was raised and educated locally attending Utica schools. Edward served his country with the US Army during World War II, receiving several decorations and citations, including a Combat Badge, a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star, and three Campaign Stars. On September 30, 1950, Edward married Shirley Mae Hanna in Utica. Mrs. Kutzuba passed away in 1985. He then met his companion of many years, Doris Squallace. Ms. Squallace passed away in 1997. Edward worked for the Shipping Department of Climate Master Division - Heating and air conditioning, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Stars and Stripes Chapter 82 D.A.V. Edward is predeceased by two brothers, John and Stanley Kutzuba, and by a sister, Josephine Czerkies. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. John (Sophie) Kutzuba, Utica; by several dear friends, Marek and Kinga Koscinski, Utica and Thomas Handzel, Florida; as well as by several nieces, nephews, cousins and by a foster child, Robin. Edward's funeral will be held on Friday, November 24, 2006 at 11:00 am from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and at 11:30 am at St. Joseph's ? St. Patrick's Church, Utica where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Whitestown. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday morning, from 9 ? 11 am, prior to the funeral.
