Mrs. Jean F. Calhoun Utica Mrs. Jean F. Calhoun, 83 a resident of St. Joseph Nursing Home, formerly of Bristol St., Utica passed away on Monday December 18, 2006 at the nursing home. Jean was born in Forest City, PA on August 24, 1923 the daughter of Frank and Agnes (Gorence) Schuester and received her education in local schools. On November 22, 1946, Jean married James A. Calhoun, a union of 51 years until his death in 1997. Jean was employed as a cashier at State St. Mills and later with Wolf News retiring in 1995. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph St. Patrick Church, Utica. Mrs. Calhoun is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael and Judith Calhoun, FL, James and Sally Calhoun, Herkimer and Daniel Calhoun, Utica; one sister, Louise Brigandi, NJ five grandchildren; David and Dawn (whom she raised as her own and made great sacrifices for), Eric, Patrick and Rebecca. She also leaves several great grandchildren who she considered her little angles. Mrs. Calhoun's funeral will be held on Thursday December 21, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph St. Patrick Church where her mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Those so wishing may consider a donation to St. Joseph Nursing Home 2535 Genesee St. Utica, NY 13501 in Jean's memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Heintz Funeral Service., Inc., Utica.
