Jean Woolheater Bonney, 83, died peacefully on December 26, 2017 at home with her loving family by her side. Jean was born in Utica on January 8, 1934, the daughter of Andrew and Helen (Krol) Kulesza. For many years until her retirement she was employed with General Electric. On June 20, 1998 Jean was united in marriage to Sylvester Bonney. He passed away on December 13, 2012. She was an avid bowler, a diehard Yankee fan and a true American patriot. She was very proud of her polish heritage. Jean is survived by her brother, Edward Kulesza, her seven children, Michael (Laurie) Woolheater, Patricia (Steve) McCoy, Georgianna (Mark Miller) Brenning, Kelly (Gary) Beauregard, Richard (Angel) Woolheater, Kathleen (Mark) McLaughlin, and David (Melissa) Woolheater,. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Jean was predeceased by a sister, Veronica Vescio and 2 great grandchildren, Stephanie Antalek and Alexander Cooley. Jean's family thanks those who helped with her care. Mrs. Bonney's funeral will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 9:15 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and at 10:00 from Holy Trinity Church, Utica. A spring burial will take place in Glenside Cemetery, New York Mills. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 4-7. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care.
