Carol Ann Bennett Utica Mrs. Carol Ann Bennett, 67 of Utica passed away on Saturday December 23, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Carol was born in Utica on July 26, 1939 the daughter of Henry and Pearl (Dobbins) Mitchell. She was raised in Utica and was a graduate of St. Francis de Sales High school. Carol was married to Alfred Carmen until his death in 1962. She later married Richard Bennett in Utica. She was employed with St. Luke's Memorial Hospital and for many years with Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center until her retirement. Carol enjoyed Bowling and watching Wrestling. She was of the Catholic Faith. Mrs. Bennett is survived by her husband Richard; one daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Edward Mander, Utica; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Steven and Celeste Bennett, Utica and Eric Bennett and his companion, Kim Wilson, Yorkville; nine grandchildren, Kaleigh Mander, Nicholas Mander, Karissa Weaver, Dakota Mander, Steven Bennett Jr., Anna Dobrenzski, Brandon Wilson, Tori Bennett and Samantha Wilson; one sister, Leona Doat, Richfield Springs; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Richard and Jackie Mitchell, CA, William Mitchell, Syracuse and mark Mitchell, Floyd; her foster children, Amy Danks, James Scalzo and Christiana Scalzo and a dear neighbor, Shawn Quinn who helped care for Carol. Also surviving are Lisa Bennett, N. Utica and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters, Jessica Richardson, Helen Doat, Edna Wilcox and Joan Crouse and two brothers, Robert Earl; Mitchell and Henry Mitchell.
