Margaret T. Spaziani, 97, of Yorkville passed away at home on Saturday, December 23, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born in Utica on October 20, 1920, a daughter of Antonio and Assunta (Massaro) Capuana. On November 8, 1947 Margaret was united in marriage to Silverio (Lumpy) Spaziani, a blessed union of 40 years until his death on February 19, 1987. For over 28 years Margaret was employed with General Electric Co. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church until its closing and currently was a parishioner of the Church of the Sacred Heart and St. Mary Our Lady of Czestochowa in New York Mills. Margaret is survived by her son Gerald (Jerry) Spaziani, of Yorkville, three beloved grandchildren, Marc Spaziani, of Utica, Alicia Spaziani, of Utica and Ryan Spaziani and wife, Casey, of Holly Springs, NC, three great grandsons, Marc, Rock and Vincent Spaziani, a special cousin, Helen Jiampietro, of Yorkville, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Margaret was predeceased by three sisters, Theresa Arciero, Frances Spina and Amelia Peluso and three brothers, Leonard, William and Albert Capuana. Mrs. Spaziani's funeral will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10:30 at the Church of the Sacred Heart and St. Mary Our Lady of Czestochowa in New York Mills. Entombment will be in the Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Holy Trinity Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family will greet guests at the conclusion of the mass. Please omit flowers.
