Ann F. Misiazek Utica Ann Frances Misiazek, 88, formerly of Catherine St., Mount Carmel Apartments, Utica, passed away October 14, 2006 at Faxton-St. Luke's Medical Center, New Hartford, with her family at her side. Ann was born May 5, 1918 in Utica, the daughter of Andrew and Julia Palczynski. She was raised and educated in Utica. She was a former member of St. Joseph's-St. Patrick's Church, Utica. Ann was a loving and gentle woman whose children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy will be one about her work ethics and religious devotions. A hardworking woman, she was dedicated to her position at various drug stores, most recently Eckerd Drugs, where she worked until her retirement at the age of 80. Ann is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra McConeghy of N. Utica, Gloria and Douglas Sardina of Whitesboro; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Fran Misiazek of Poland, NY. She also has nine grandchildren, Michael, Maureen, Christine, Sharon, Kevin, Nicholas, Melissa, Paul, and Michelle. She also has 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Ann was predeceased by seven brothers and a sister. Ann's family would like to make a special thank you to the nurses and staff of the ICU and 6th floor of St. Luke's Medical Center for all their care and kindness to Ann and her family. Mrs. Misiazek's funeral will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2006, at St. Joseph's-St. Patrick's Church, Utica, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Entombment will take place at Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Holy Trinity Cemetery. Donations in memory of Ann would be appreciated to the St. Jude Children's Hospital. There are no calling hours. Her arrangements are entrusted to the Heintz Funeral Home, Utica, NY.
