Albert C. Hieber Utica Albert C. Hieber, 57, of Sunset Ave, Utica, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center, after a long illness. Al was born June 10, 1949, in Utica, the son of John C. and Kathleen (Miller) Hieber. He was raised and educated locally before going on to University of Miami, where he received his Bachelors Degree. Al was the owner and operator of Oakwood Enterprises, an independent trucking company, in Utica. He previously worked for many years for UPS in Florida. Al was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Utica. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, and boating. Al was also a member of the Fur, Fin, and Feather Club in Utica. Al is survived by his devoted companion and best friend of several years, Kathleen Bonville, Utica; his daughter, Bethany Hieber, Gainesville, FL; his brother and sister-in-law, John E. and Sharon Hieber, Ilion; one aunt, Joyanne Miller, Utica; a faithful friend, Kurt Hameline, Utica. Also surviving are several cousins and friends including members of the Bonville and Webb families. Al is predeceased by his parents and several aunts and uncles. Al's funeral will be held on Friday, August 4, 2006 at 9:15 am from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Utica. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening, 4 ? 7 pm. Those wishing may donate to the Huntington's disease Society in Al's memory.
