Ann E. Dunham, 72, of New Hartford passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, with her canine companion Hannah. Ann was born in Utica on May 9, 1946, a daughter of Carl and Mary (Stein) Carlson. For many years until her retirement, Ann was employed with Verizon. After her retirement she was employed with Zogby International Poll. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Clinton and a former member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Utica. Ann is survived by her two children, Laurie Stoetzner, of New Hartford and Scott Dunham and his wife, Skye Allen, of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren, Amanda Stoetzner and Ed Schafer, Matthew Stoetzner and Abby Yoxall, and Timothy Goff; two great grandchildren, Ava and Ian; two brothers, Carl and Carolyn Carlson, of Massena and Douglas Carlson, of New Hartford; niece, Carrie Skuban, of Binghamton; nephew, Carl Carlson Jr., of Nashville, TN; very close and special cousin, Scott Fralick, of Utica and special friends, Verity Mooney, of New Hartford and Jackie Fox. Ann was predeceased by her dear friend, Rosemary (Primeau) Hafele and her very dear friend of 38 years, John Rosa. Calling hours for Ann will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 4 – 7 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 at St. James Episcopal Church, Clinton. A spring burial will take place in Crown Hill Memorial Cemetery. Those so wishing may make donations to Stevens Swan Humane Society or the New Hartford Fire Department. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the New Hartford Fire Department for all their efforts.
