Mr. Mark F. Engle, Sr., 78, of N. Utica, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Mark was born in Utica on November 11, 1940, the son of Frederick and Eileen (Dunn) Engle. He was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. On April 11, 1970, in Utica, Mark was united in marriage with Nancy M. Pedone. For many years, he was employed with Revere Copper Products, Inc., in Rome, retiring in 1998. Mark will also be remembered as a bar tender with many local establishments. He enjoyed tending to his yard and was happiest spending time with his family and especially his cherished grandchildren. He was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Engle is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; one daughter Leslie Dziedzic and her husband David of Barneveld; two sons, Mark Engle, Jr. and his husband, Eric Weber of Altamonte, FL and Brian Engle and his wife Janet of Tampa, FL; four cherished grandchildren, Trevor Dziedzic and Shaun Dziedzic both of Barneveld and Hannah Engle and Nicholas Engle; one sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Joseph Zinicola of Whitesboro; one brother and three sisters-in-law, Deacon Christopher and Linda Engle of Oriskany, Sheila Engle of Marcy and Sharon Engle of Frankfort; in-laws, Michael and Doris Pedone of Las Vegas, NV, Angelo Pedone and Renee Gulisano of Deerfield and Maria and Arthur Holyoke of Whitesboro as well as several special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Delane Engle and two brothers, Thaddeus Engle and Richard Engle. Mr. Engle’s funeral will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Whitesboro, where his Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. His Rite of Committal and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Utica. Calling hours for family and friends are Friday, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica.
