Jane E. Wentka, 87, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 6, 2019. Jane was born in Yorkville on December 1, 1931, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Babicz) Wentka. Jane owned and operated Artistics Dog Grooming in Utica. She was of the Catholic faith. Jane is survived by her daughter, Lucille Owens, of NC, two nieces, Lee Slopka, of Ilion and Val Devlin, of Airmont, NY, a nephew, Alex Gromow, of NC and great nieces, great nephew and great great nieces. Jane was predeceased by a daughter, Diana Bigun in 2017 and her ex-husband, Victor Bigun. A funeral service for Jane will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 2:30 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Calling hours at the funeral home at Sunday from 1:00 – 2:30. Burial in St. Volodymyr Cemetery, Whitesboro will be held at the convenience of the family. Those so wishing may make donations to the Stevens Swan Humane Society in Jane’s memory.
