Mr. Arthur M. Hutchins, Jr., 77, of Malta, NY, formerly of Utica, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Saratoga Hospital. Arthur was born in Utica on November 17, 1941, the son of Arthur M. and Estelle (Macumber) Hutchins and received his education in local schools. On September 14, 1963, Arthur was united in marriage with Patricia M. Whitacre, a devoted union 41 years until Patricia’s death in 2004. For many years, Arthur was employed as a truck driver with Red Star Express Lines in Utica and T.N.T. Red Star Express Lines in Albany, until his retirement. Arthur enjoyed NASCAR, football and baseball and was an avid NY Yankees Fan. He was also an antique car enthusiast, but always enjoyed driving a new car. Mr. Hutchins is survived by a son, Trevor Hutchins of Malta, NY and a daughter and son-in-law, Marytheresa and Patrick Meyers of Yorkville. Mr. Hutchins’ funeral will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. His burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Yorkville.
