Miss Evelyn R. Webster, 81, of Whitesboro, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica. Evelyn was born in Utica on May 1, 1936, the daughter of Francis and Evelyn (Comstock) Webster. She was raised in Utica, was a 1954 graduate of Utica Free Academy and earned her bachelor’s degree from Utica College in 1961. For four years while in School, Evelyn worked at Utica Animal Hospital and for many years until her retirement, as operations supervisor with the Social Security administration in Baltimore and Utica. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing and puzzles. She will be remembered for the way lovingly cared for her many pets, especially her Pugs and Boston Terriers. Evelyn was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Whitesboro. Miss Webster is survived by 16 first cousins, 59 second cousins and numerous third cousins, especially acknowledging her cousins and Goddaughter, Georgia Cole of Utica, cousin, Dennis Webster of Oneida and her dear friend, Dr. Linda Gigliotti of Whitesboro. Miss Webster’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Her burial will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park in Kirkland.
