Martin W. Barry, 82, of Utica passed away on October 17, 2018 at the Abraham House. Martin was born in Utica, son of the late William and Mildred (Girvan) Barry and was raised and educated locally. In 1966 he married Barbara Barry. Martin retired from Bendix/Lucas Aerospace/TRW where he was a maintenance electrician. Martin is survived by his wife, Barbara, his sons, Martin (Gerri) Barry III and James Barry, his daughters, Wendy (Everett) Hopper, Lynn (John) Austin, Diane (Dennis) Erlewine, Michele (Joseph) Teti, Kathleen (Ronald) Johnson. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Martin was predeceased by a sister, Mary Klotz. Memorial visitation for Martin will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 2-4 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., Utica. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Those so wishing may make donations to the Abraham House in Martin’s memory. The family would like to the thank the nurses from Hospice & Palliative Care and the staff of the Abraham House for all the loving care given to Martin.
