Clinton- Geoffrey S. Lane, 44, of Clinton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Health Care Center in New Hartford, with his loving mother at his side as he continues his journey. Geoffrey was born on August 19, 1973 in Utica, NY, the son of Debra (Curtis) Fowler and the late Jack Lane, who passed away in June of this year. He was raised and educated locally and a 1994 graduate from BOCES. Geoffrey loved being outside and nature. He enjoyed camping, boating and being in the water. Geoffrey also enjoyed movies and music, especially the sitting in the park, listening to the church bells. He would love to go to the mall, shopping with his mother. Geoffrey had several accomplishments he and his family are proud of. He climbed Bald Mountain, took part in the Special Olympics, and was a member of the Boy Scouts. Geoffrey also enjoyed peaceful moments, whether it be watching an electronic picture slide frame, gazing at the sun, watching the wind move the trees, or looking at his shadow. Geoffrey was of the Catholic faith. Geoffrey is survived by his mother and stepfather, Debra and George Fowler, Munnsville; his brother, Christopher John Curtis; as well as by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by a dear family friend, Carol Owens and her family; and by his canine companions, Toby and Mattie. Also surviving are his families at Marcy Day Treatment and Homestead IRA. Geoffrey’s funeral service will be held Friday evening, December 8, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton. Interment in Crown Hill Memorial Park will take place at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 4 – 7 pm, prior to the service. Those wishing may donate to the Special Olympics in Geoffrey’s memory.
