Obituary of Bea M. Nebush

Bea M. Nebush, 93, of Deerfield, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 peacefully at home with her loving family by her side. Bea was born in Utica, on June 21, 1925, a daughter of John and Mary (Pleban) Mack. She was raised and educated locally and was a graduate of Whitesboro High School. On October 4, 1947, Bea was united in marriage to Frank J. Nebush Sr. in St. Mary’s Church in New York Mills, a blessed union of 51 years until his death on February 1, 1998. After their marriage, Frank and Bea purchased and became owners and operators of a dairy farm in Deerfield. For many years, Bea also worked at Twin Ponds Golf and Country Club. She was a member of the Church of the Sacred Heart and St. Mary Our Lady of Czestochowa. Bea was also a member of the Home Bureau and in her spare time enjoyed doing ceramics. Most important to Bea was her family and she treasured the time she spent with them. Bea was blessed with fourteen grandchildren and they brought her great joy and love. Bea is survived by three daughters, Mary (Troxel) Zazzali and husband, David, of LA, Gerri Nebush, of Deerfield, and Lori Ann Sedgwick, of Whitesboro and Joseph Borgia, of Sauquoit; one son, Frank Nebush Jr. and his wife, Joyce, of Deerfield; a son-in-law, Brian Sedgwick, of Whitesboro; fourteen grandchildren, Joshua Nebush, of Schuyler, Christian Nebush, of Clinton, Seth Nebush and wife, Sarah, of Deerfield, Luke Nebush and wife, Kathleen, of New Hartford, Dana Matheson and husband, Cary, of SC, Cameron Troxel and wife, Alena, of MD, Ethan Troxel and wife, Kristina, of VA, Bethany Troxel-Villa, of GA, Adam Zazzali and wife, Lia, of NC, Peter Zazzali and wife, Kimberly, of TX, Joanna Zazzali and Lori, of NC, Zachary Sedgwick, of Whitesboro, Alyssa Sedgwick, of Whitesboro and Theresa Nebush, of Rome; eleven great grandchildren, Isaiah Nebush, Wyatt Nebush, Bohdan Nebush, Finnian Nebush, Ella Ray Nebush, Matthew Nebush, Ryan Nebush, Anna Nebush, Alex Matheson, Ryan Matheson and Jane Matheson; four sisters, Theresa and Calvin Anacher, of Deerfield, Sally and Edward Kuta, of New York Mills, Carol Barnes, of CT and Catherine Mack, of Deerfield; one brother, John Mack, of Utica; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Mack, two nieces, Terri Mack and Gail Manderson and husband, Todd and a nephew, Bob Stevener and wife, Terri. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas C. Nebush in 1989; a sister, Anna Kochan, two brothers, Harry Mack and Edmund Mack and a nephew, Charles Mack. Mrs. Nebush’s funeral will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 10:00 from Church of the Sacred Heart and St. Mary Our Lady of Czestochowa, New York Mills. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus and Casimir Cemetery, Whitesboro. There are no calling hours. The family will greet guests at the conclusion of the Mass. Those so wishing may make donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in Bea’s memory.
