Patricia, 66, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on July 31, 2018, with her loving family by her side. She is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, William “Billy” Mootz; beloved daughters, Melissa Ellinwood Holzberger and husband, Scott, of NC, Jessica Mootz, of Utica and Whitney Mootz, of Utica; step-daughter, Cori Mootz Palmer and husband, Mike, of Whitesboro. Patricia is also survived by her father, Norris Ellinwood and wife, of Whitesboro; brother, Mark Ellinwood and Maureen Dunn, of Oneida; half siblings, Sarah Ellinwood, Gretchen Ellinwood, and Geoff Ellinwood. There are three surviving grandchildren, Alexis and Nathan Holzberger and Ryan Keenan. Nephews and nieces, Mark and Shannon, Zach, Alex and Caitlin; Andrea, Brian and Logan; Sean and Chrissy; Cara, Jon and Julian; Zach; Jimmy and Joey; Jeremy and Ashley; Danielle; Jennifer, Tina and Lissy. In-laws, Laurie Fernalld, Ken and Noreen Mootz, Mike Mootz, Jim and Janice Mootz. She leaves numerous aunts, uncles and crazy cousins. She was predeceased by her mother, Marie Guarno Ellinwood and sister, Kathleene Ellinwood Vagelatos; in-laws, Laurel and William Mootz Sr. Patricia was educated in Utica schools. She retired from Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in 2014 after 16 years. A memorial service will be held at Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd, N. Utica, on August 8, 2018 from 6:00- 7:30. At Patty’s request, the family encourages guests to wear Buffalo Bills gear or your favorite classic rock attire.
