Obituary of Bradley P. Zacek

Mr. Bradley Peter Zacek, Sr., 75, of Rome, NY, entered his eternal home on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the Siegenthaler Center in New Hartford after enduring four years of cancer.
Bradley was born in Utica on July 17, 1943, the son of the late Peter and Delma (Baker) Zacek. He was a graduate of Holland Patent High School, Class of 1961. After graduation, Bradley proudly served in the US Army from 1962-1965. Over the course of his life, he worked in various fields, including, Montgomery Wards, TICO Manufacturing, Davey-Jones Berry Farm, Newport Telephone and United Cerebral Palsy. Bradley enjoyed playing basketball and golf throughout his life as well as watching all kinds of sports. Bradley attended Redeemer Church in Utica with Pastor Servello. Some of his favorite musical interests were, first, worship music, followed by Irish music and the oldies. His favorite songs included, “Amazing Grace”, “I Can Only Imagine” by Mercy Me, “I Hope You Can Dance” by Lee Ann Womack and “He Reigns” by the Newsboys. Bradley wanted people to know that his biggest passion was sharing the salvation message of Jesus Christ with others. He hoped that the people he loved or knew would come to know Jesus as their personal savior.
Mr. Zacek is survived by his three children, Bradley Zacek, Jr., Shawna Scott and her husband Marty and Kristen Ajamian and her husband Roger; his former wife, Donna; his cherished grandchildren, Thomas, Josh, Colin and Emily Scott, Eden (Whom he taught to golf), and Ana Mari Ajamian and his unborn grandson, Elijah Ajamian; three sisters-in-law, Mary Zacek, Vicky Zacek and Brettis Zacek as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, Ronald, George, Dennis and Peter Zacek.
Relatives and friends are invited to a service, celebrating Bradley’s life on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Redeeming Love Fellowship, 9011 State Route 365, Stiitville NY, where his nephew, Pastor Richard Zacek serves as Pastor. Flowers for Bradley’s service would be greatly appreciated or for those wishing to make a donation in Bradley’s name, please consider the Abraham House, 1203 Kemble St., Utica, NY 13501. Mr. Zacek’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Gina Ciccia and the entire staff at the Abraham House for the compassionate care you provided to Bradley. A special thanks to the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc and the nurses and staff of Siegenthaler Center for the months of dedicated care you provided to Bradley. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., N. Utica.
