Andrew W. Keiser, 73, of Whitesboro, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at his home with his loving family by his side. Andrew was born in Utica on June 8, 1944, a son of William and Mary (Frank) Keiser Sr. He was a graduate of Utica Free Academy, Utica College and received his Masters Degree from SUNY at Binghamton. On February 4, 1967 in Sacred Heart Church, Utica, Andrew married Sharon Varnum, a blessed union of almost 50 years until her passing on October 19, 2016. Andrew was a professor at Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica College and SUNY Utica. He was an avid coin collector and enjoyed history and classical music. Andrew is survived by a son, David Keiser and his wife, Amy, of Utica, a beloved grandson, David Lee Keiser, of Utica, two sisters, Christine Smith and her husband, John, of TX and Denise Rimmer, of Yorkville, one brother, William (Bill) II and his wife, Christie, of Albany, a special aunt, Ruth Schuff, of N. Utica, two special godchildren, Christine Schuff and Lauren Edwards and many special cousins. Calling hours for Mr. Keiser will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 2 - 4 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Those so wishing may make donations to Hospice and Palliative Care Inc. in Andrew's memory. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Drs. Butala and Ulahannan and to a special nurse, Sheila Kittle for all the loving care given to Andrew.
