Lucille A. Peltier, 93, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Lucille was born in Utica on October 18, 1924, a daughter of Michael and Bridget (Stewart) Constantine. She was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. At St. Joseph’s Church, Utica on September 11, 1948 Lucille was united in marriage to Frederick P. Peltier, a blessed union of 56 years until his death in 2004. For many years she owned and operated Peter’s Grocery Store in West Utica with her husband, Fred. Lucille was a member of St. George’s Church in Utica until its closing and a current member of St. Paul’s Church, Whitesboro. Lucille is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Susan and Bob Cecilia, of Whitesboro and Debbie Peltier, of Whitesboro, two grandchildren, Jamie Cecilia and girlfriend Staci and her children, Haiden, Kileigh and Riland and Michael and Monica Cecilia and their children, Madison and Kayla. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Sue Hurd for all the loving care she gave to Lucille. Lucille was predeceased by a brother, Merril Peterpaul and two sisters, Mary Louise Peterpaul and Yolanda Peterpaul. Mrs. Peltier’s funeral will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11:00 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and at 11:30 from St. Paul’s Church, Whitesboro. Burial will be in St. George’s Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday morning from 10:00 – 11:00. Those so wishing may make Mass offerings to the Franciscan Monastery in Kennebunk, Maine.
