Mrs. Eva Marie McMahon, 49, of Rome, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Hospice Siegenthaler Center in New Hartford with her loving family by her side. Eva was born in Utica, on June 20, 1968, the daughter of Robert and Karen (Sykes) (Golden) Brasie. She was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. On July 11, 1987, Eva was united in marriage with David McMahon. She was a devoted member of Life Tabernacle Church in Whitesboro the Lady’s Ministry at the church. Eva enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, gardening, crafting her miniatures, soaps and dollhouses, winning souls to church and especially her nonnie time with her precious grandchildren. Mrs. McMahon is survived by her beloved husband, David; two daughters, Kayla McMahon and Doyal Gilman and Kierstyn McMahon and Michael Monroe; one son, Josiah McMahon; four cherished grandchildren, Sylvia Roberts, Colin Brough, Jaxyn McMahon-Monroe and Braedyn Monroe; her father, Robert Brasie and his wife Jan; her mother, Karen Sykes; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jennifer and Jared House and Melissa and Bill Czarnocki; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Robert Brasie, Nathan and Lisa Brasie, Chris and Kerri Brasie and Gabriel Brasie; her adopted children, Anthony Saunders, Woodrow Hanford, Philip Pastorelli Sergio Ostupak and Monique Livingston and her children, Ronnie, Ayrie and Ezra; her brother-in-law, Michael McMahon as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. McMahon’s funeral will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Her interment will be held on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro. Calling hours for family and friends are Friday from 4:00-6:00 prior to the service.
