Diana J. Marlowe, 78, of Syracuse and formerly of Marcy, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018. Diana was born in Utica on June 18, 1939, a daughter of Joseph and Frances (Poplasky) Muller. Diana was united in marriage to Lawrence E. Marlowe on November 2, 1957 at St. Peter's Church, North Utica, a blessed union of 48 years until his death in 2005. For many years Diana owned and operated two of the Tony's Pizzerias in the Utica area. She was a member of St. Peter's Church, and the American Legion. Diana was an avid sports person who enjoyed all sports. Diana is survived by two granddaughters, Danielle Marlowe and fiancée, Tom Mannio, of Brewerton, NY and Desiree Marlowe, of Syracuse, NY, five great grandchildren, Hailey, Gianna, Thomas, Annina and Angelina, a daughter-in-law, Renee Romanyk and husband, Michael, of Brewerton, NY . Diana was predeceased by a son, Timothy Marlowe in 1994. Mrs. Marlowe's funeral will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 9:45 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica and at 10:30 from St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. Entombment will be in the Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum of Holy Trinity Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 4-7.
