Mary M. Neiner, 75, of Utica, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at her home. Mary was born in Oneida, NY on February 15, 1942, the daughter of Bernard and Alice (Lawless) Law. She was a graduate of Vernon Verona Sherrill High School and St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. Mary dedicated her life to nursing in the Utica area and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Utica. She enjoyed antiquing, garage sales, tending to her flower garden and was a devout member of the Mother Marianne Cope prayer group at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church in Utica. Mary will be remembered as an outgoing woman and a great neighbor. Mrs. Neiner is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jack Prilook of NY City; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kevin and Laurie Maxwell of Utica, Michael and Wendy Maxwell of Savannah, GA and Robert (Bob) Maxwell of Oneida; six cherished grandchildren, Colin Maxwell, Ian Maxwell, Landon Hall, Lauren Maxwell, Logan Maxwell, and Noah Maxwell; an adored great granddaughter, Presley Hall; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Jack and Donna Law of Syracuse and Bernard Law of Sylvan Beach as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Ann Staves and a brother, Robert Law. Mrs. Neiner’s funeral will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 2222 Genesee St., Utica, where her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of the funeral Mass. Her burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
