Joseph A. Paratore, 65, of Holland Patent, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the St. Luke's Home, New Hartford. Joseph was born in Frankfort, NY, a son of the late Joseph T. and Marion (Wilcox) Paratore. Joseph proudly served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. For the past 37 years he has been employed with Conmed Corporation. He was a parishioner of St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. Joseph enjoyed watching movies and TV but his passion was restoring older Chevys. Joseph is survived by two sisters, Marie McLellan and husband, Robert, of Taberg and Joann Puleo, of Ilion, a brother, James Paratore, of North Utica, a cherished niece, Lisa Clark and husband, William, of Taberg and a cherished nephew, Michael Paratore and wife, Teela, of Utica. Mr. Paratore's funeral will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 10:30 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica and at 11:00 from St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. Burial will take place in the Holland Patent Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday morning from 9:30 - 10:30. Those so wishing may make donations to the American Cancer Society in Joseph's memory. The family would like to thank the staffs of the 6th floor of Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, Barton North of the St. Luke's Home and Hospice and Palliative Care for all the loving care given to Joseph.
