Mr. Thomas C. Todd, 85, of Schuyler, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica. Thomas was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 17, 1932, the son of Thomas R. and Sylvaria “Vera” (Nuschler) Todd. He was raised and educated in Philadelphia and earned his bachelor’s degree from LaSalle College in 1955. On September 21, 1957, Thomas was united in marriage to Rose F. LePera at Our Lady of Consolation Church in Philadelphia, a loving and devoted union of 60 years. For many years until his retirement, Thomas was employed with General Electric Company in Philadelphia and later in Utica. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and it’s fourth degree council in Philadelphia and was of the Catholic faith. Thomas will be remembered as a true family man whose children and grandchildren were the light of his life. Mr. Todd is survived by his beloved wife, Rose; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Stephen Seals of NC; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas R. and Julie Todd of Herkimer and Bill and Jeneen Todd of Schuyler; eight cherished grandchildren, Joseph Todd and his wife Amrita of Long Island, Christina Todd Roberts and her husband Colin of Deerfield, Stephanie Seals and John Honor of FL, Sean Todd of Schuyler, John Seals of NC, Nicole Todd of Herkimer, Halia Todd of Schuyler and Natalie Todd of Herkimer; three adored Great grandchildren, Falene, Derek and Patrick; one sister, Geraldine Hennelly of NJ; two sisters-in-law, Christina Moors of PA and Idella and Jim White of FL as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three sisters, Catherine Paprzycki, Dolores Lynch and Gloria Todd. Mr. Todd’s funeral will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church, 702 Columbia St., Utica, where his Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated.
