Obituary of James DeLos Brady

Mr. James DeLos Brady, Sr., age 69, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford.
James was born on March 19, 1948 in Hollywood, FL, the son of DeLos W. and Josephine (Kubala) Brady and was a graduate of NY Mills High School. On November 22, 1969 James married Dona J. Hollenbeck at United Presbyterian Church. For many years, he was employed as a lineman with NY Telephone Company. James was an avid sports fan, especially a huge NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. He was a former N. Utica Pop Warner football coach and N. Utica Little League coach.
Mr. Brady is survived by his beloved wife, Dona; three sons and a daughter-in-law, James DeLos Brady Jr., and Paula Zaleski of N. Utica, Sean and Tammy Brady of New Hartford and Scott Brady of Las Vegas, NV; 12 cherished grandchildren, Brandon, Patrick, Joshua, Jeremy, Kyleigh, McKenzie, Patricia, Samantha, Sean, Jr. (Homie), Austin, Brianna and Bryson; one brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Sandra Brady of Naples, FL; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Judy and Ken Siegfried, Gail Derosa, Billy and Candy Hollenbeck, Bobby and Chris Hollenbeck, Tracey and Jim Kirk and Bill Sprague as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Linda Sprague.
Relatives and friends are invited to James’ celebration of life on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at American Legion Utica Post 229, 409 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica.
