Utica – Patricia J. Peters, 75, of Utica, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. Patricia was born on November 15, 1941, in Utica, NY, the daughter of Sherwood and Elizabeth (Kelly) England. She was raised and educated in Utica. On September 3, 1960, Patricia married Richard G. Peters in St. Louis Gonzaga Church. She had been employed with UFCW Local 1, Utica. After retiring, she went on to work as a lunch aid in the Utica School system. Patricia was a member of St. Mark’s Church in North Utica. She was also a member of the Red Hats Society. Patricia enjoyed gardening, baking, and having lunch with her granddaughters at Zeina’s Café or Karams. Most of all, she loved to take care of her family. Patricia is survived by her husband, Richard Peters, Utica; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Martin Peters, Fishers, IN, Andrew and Diane Peters, Utica, Michael and Claudine Peters, Frankfort; four cherished grandchildren, Nicole (& TJ) Diego, Michelle (& Lou Garramone) Peters, Julia Peters, Makayla Peters; a brother, Arthur England, Florida. She is predeceased by a sister-in-law, Norma England. Mrs. Peters’ funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Mark’s Church, North Utica where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Utica. There are no public calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted to the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., North Utica.
