Dolores B. Burdick, 75, of New York Mills, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. Dolores was born in New Hartford on February 7, 1942, a daughter of Charles and Emily (Dousharm) Major. On October 15, 1960 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Dolores was united in marriage to Howard W. Burdick, a blessed union of 55 years until his death in 2015. For 15 years she was employed at Marcy State Hospital. Dolores was a parishioner of St. Paul's Church. In her spare time, Dolores loved to garden and cook. Most important to her was time spent with her family especially her grandchildren. Dolores is survived by two sons, Steven Burdick and fiancee, Laurie O'Neil, of Hinckley, NY and Keith Burdick and wife, Carol, of Saratoga Springs, NY, eight grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Kevin, Chase, Megan, Logan, Sarah and Shelby, a sister, Diane Alsante, of NY Mills, two brothers, Oliver Major, of NY Mills and Andre Major, of Forestport and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several siblings. Mrs. Burdick's funeral will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 8:45 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St. Utica and at 9:30 at St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 4 - 8. Those so wishing may make donations to the American Cancer Society in Dolores' memory.
